Hashtags cannot contain spaces or punctuation, so a phrase such as email marketing has to be joined up. This tool does it for you in the style you prefer, and removes accents and symbols.
CamelCase hashtags such as #EmailMarketing are easier to read and work better with screen readers.
The tool splits input on new lines, commas and semicolons, so each entry becomes one hashtag. It removes accents by normalising text and stripping combining marks, so café becomes cafe, then splits the entry at every character that is not a letter or number and joins the pieces. In camelCase the first word is lowercase, in PascalCase every word is capitalised, and in lowercase everything is joined in lowercase. Duplicates are removed ignoring case, and the list is cut to your limit, up to 100 with a default of 30.
What the tool cannot do is judge value. A formatted hashtag is not necessarily one anyone follows, searches for or finds useful. Platform behaviour varies as well. Letters from other scripts, such as Hindi or Arabic, are kept, but how each platform links them can differ. Very long hashtags are hard to read and rarely get used, and a few relevant, specific tags generally serve better than many broad ones. Check a tag on the platform before using it, because some can be associated with unrelated or unwanted content.
No. It formats the keywords you provide. It does not know hashtag popularity.
Capital letters mark the word boundaries, which is easier to read and is announced correctly by screen readers.
Instagram allows up to 30, but a handful of relevant ones usually performs better.
No. It is processed in your browser.
Entries that contain no letters or digits are dropped, and duplicates are removed ignoring case, so Email Marketing and email marketing become one tag. Your limit also trims the list from the end.
Yes. Digits and letters from other scripts are kept. Accents on Latin letters are removed, so a word like naïve becomes naive, while symbols and punctuation are dropped.
